Registering for a Property Search Account

To get the most out of the new Property Search website, you can register for an account.

Please note, an account on Property Search is separate from the existing BCAD Online Services Portal and any account associated with that site.

• Property Search: Used to search for properties, view property information, claim properties, file for an Electronic Communication Agreement (ECA), and manage electronic communications.
• Online Portal: Used for services such as filing appeals, agent authorizations, and homestead exemption applications.

Registering for the Property Search website does not replace or change your existing Online Services Portal account.

How to Register

From the bcad.org home page:

1. Select Property Search from the top menu.
2. Click on Log In, located in the upper-right corner.
3. Follow the prompts to create and verify your account.
4. Once your account has been successfully verified, you can sign in and access the additional features available to registered users.

Check the email you registered with for the verification email.

Message that you will see once your account is verified:

Navigate back to the Login page and type in your email and password, then click Sign In.

Once logged in, you will see your registered email at the top-right, next to the Log Out button.
