Owners wanting to merge a Manufactured/Mobile Home with land, must contact the Manufactured Housing Division headquarters in Austin, Tx, to submit a Statement of Ownership (SOL) application requesting the MANUFACTURED/MOBILE HOME be changed to “Real Property”.
The Manufactured Housing Division - TDHCA can be reached at 1-800-500-7074 or by visiting Manufactured Housing Division | Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs where various tools including online forms, time frames, and frequently asked questions are available.
Once the owner receives the completed SOL from TDHCA, the following actions are necessary:
- The owner must have the document stamped as received by the Bexar Central Appraisal District (BCAD) and then register the document at the County Courthouse.
- The owner then sends the stamped and registered document back to TDHCA to be Perfected.
- Once Perfected, the owner can request the MANUFACTURED/MOBILE HOME and land be merged at the BCAD level, by contacting BCAD by phone or using the Help Center at help.bcad.org.
- The request to merge can be made using the Help Center at help.bcad.org to avoid possible phone hold times
- The PID for both Manufactured/Mobile Home and land must be included in the request
- BCAD will verify through the TDHCA website to confirm the title has been perfected before any changes are made
